Internal Council Committees

The Leadership Council is also responsible for managing several internal commmittees, the Executive Committee, the Finance Committee and the Governance Committee. The roles of these groups are described below.

Executive Committee: The Executive Committee is made up of five elected individuals: Chair, Co-chair, Treasurer, Secretary, and at large member. The Executive Committee, in addition to being responsible for general oversight of all the planning committees, the group is responsible for creating a strategic plan, providing direction to the Forum and maintaining ethical integrity and accountability within the Membership Forum.

Finance Committee:  The Finance Committee is responsible for overseeing the prudent use of member dues and funds generated from programs, events and sponsorship campaigns. The committee will work with the Leadership Council to establish an annual budget and to monitor group expenditures in coordination with the Green Roundtable accountant. This committee also plans and implements fund-raising initiatives.

Governance Committee: The Governance Committee is responsible for developing and proposing revisions to the bylaws to conform to changes approved by the Leadership Council; to modify and clarify election procedures and to add miscellaneous other provisions in order to facilitate the operations of the Forum and the Council. The committee may also make recommendations for other policies or guidelines they feel will support the operations of the organization.
