The Green Roundtable offers unpaid internships at our NEXUS Green Building Resource Center on a semester basis. We ask for a commitment of 16-20 hours per week for at least three months. NEXUS is currently looking for interns to join us from January through May 2009.
NEXUS interns are instrumental in helping to develop NEXUS educational resources for our audiences of building professionals and the general public interested in green building and sustainable design. Interns may also have special responsibilities with the NEXUS Samples Library, Reference Library, Exhibitor Showcase, Sponsorships, Marketing and Events. All interns will be responsible for ongoing tasks including helping to staff the front desk, assisting with events, and various administrative tasks. In exchange, interns can expand their knowledge of the rapidly growing green building industry, network with industry professionals, attend roundtables and other NEXUS educational sessions, and gain valuable professional experiences and skills to add to their resume.
To apply, please send a resume, cover letter, and availability (how many hours per week and which months you could intern) by December 8 to Annie Cardinaux at annie@greenroundtable.org. In your cover letter, please indicate your particular interest in a one of the areas of focus from the list of descriptions in the link below. We cannot guarantee that candidates will be assigned to their first choice internship area. However, we will make every effort to match candidates with projects according to the unique skills and experiences that they will bring to NEXUS. After reviewing applications, we will contact you if we would like to set up an interview time.
In the meantime, you can visit NEXUS during our drop-in hours (no appointment necessary). Feel free to call 617 374-3740 x100 to speak with Annie Cardinaux with questions about the Internship. Again, thank you for your interest in interning with us.
